I have spent the last week or so, to the detriment of everything else, trying to get my web presence into some sort of order. Closed down the old site and moved everything to WordPress in the hope that Bill’s Space and Calligraphy by Bill Grant, though still separate sites, will meld seamlessly into one. I still have my URLs in a bit of a twist but, fingers crossed, I can sort that out with Uncle Google sometime soon. Perhaps now, for a while, I shall be able to concentrate on some CALLIGRAPHY.
If you want to know how I did all this, DON’T ASK! The learning curve has tied itself in knots. WordPress are very helpful with their tutorials but the wonderful worldwide web has this knack of allowing you to click on the wrong solution and then to stand with arms akimbo, tut tutting, until you work out where you have gone wrong. Just like a Video Game I suppose, or calligraphy perhaps. Get to know one level thoroughly and then suddenly you will find yourself on the next.
You might like to see what I wrote on first moving to WP from Windows Live Spaces, September 30, 2010 . Things Have Changed.
Thank you all for your indulgence. It will be a great help to this one-time technophobe if you would click around the sites and let me know of any problems.
Cheers one and all.
Keep watching this space.
Hi Bill – well done – I’ve just been doing something similar – trying to sort out my blogs etc – It is a task isn’t it?

It sure is Richard. Certainly clears the mind when everything lines up as one would like.
